Glamour Dolls
Over the last few weeks I have been doing the odd days sparking on a feature film called Glamour Dolls. It was an expenses only shoot, which is why people were only asked to work a couple of days, very few members of the crew were on for the full shoot.
It was a very interesting script written, Directed and Starring John DeLuca, about two struggling actors who find them selves in some very odd situations in order further their careers and keep them off the streets.
I was fortunate enough to work with some really great crew on this film who have had a great deal of experience working on big budget productions such as Spooks, Harry Potter and Troy. The D.O.P was Graham Martyr who has been a 1st Assistant camera for many years on some of the previously mentioned titles. The gaffer I worked with most had also worked on many similar titles. They were both incredibly nice people who I learnt a great deal from. It was a real privilege to work with them both. That is not to say that the rest of the crew were pants, because it is far from the case. The whole crew were very hardworking and professional even under the several incredibly irritating circumstances that occurred during the several days I worked. Apart from these few slip-ups the shoot went very well in my opinion, although as I was not there the whole time I could not say and I’m sure the last few days would have been very interesting. I am very much looking forward to seeing the final product. I believe it will be one to remember, so keep your eyes peeled Glamour Dolls, you heard it here first!
